A week in Maui was just what we needed after being so sick my first trimester, serious vitamin D deficiency and just needing to get away! Traveling while pregnant seemed so different. I couldn’t eat the fish, which I heard was AMAZING! I didn’t swim in the waves much and my sense of smell has a whole other meaning! Aside from that, I was able to bring this little girl with me wherever I went!
The whole island is picture perfect but my personal favorite part was snorkeling with the fish and sea turtles! I could have stayed out there all day watching life under the sea. The men got super nauseous being on the boat, tossing and turning. I secretly really enjoyed not feeling that for the first time in 3 months!
I also really loved waking up at 2 am to see the sunrise on the Haleakala Volcano. It was probably the prettiest place I have ever been to! We were so high above the clouds that life itself didn’t seem real. It is amazing when you go up so high, away from every care in the world.. when you get back down, for a short moment you get to feel what life is really about. You smile more, talk to others deeper and let things that you have zero control over slip through your fingers so easily.
Thanks for showing us an amazing time, Maui! We loved you!
